South Sister Hike

Last Saturday Miles and I went on a hike with a number of people from the Acrovision Tae Kwon Do studio up to the top of South Sister. It was a serious hike: 12 miles round trip with a 5,000 foot elevation gain to the summit. It took us about 5 hours to get to the top and 3 hours to get down. (I think we could have made the summit in 4 hours, but we spent a lot of time stopping and chatting with people on the way up.) We spent 3.5 hours on the summit. It was spectacular.

I violated one of my video rules on this one. So far, I've always been able to edit the footage down to something under 3 minutes. This one is 6.5 minutes. Pretty long for web videos, but I had a hard time getting it this short.
